About Holiday Apartment 1898979 - Stony Hill in Jamaica
This is a large (1800 ft approx.) apartment with an amazing view of the Kingston harbor and lights. It stands in almost an acre and the gardens are rich in birds, flowers, fountains, and fruit.
My place is close to the nightlife, public transport, the city center. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. For me, the charm of the place lies more in its cool breezy weather and the sense you are in some deeply rural setting, and yet you are only 6 mins from the city| The Space: Are you a Jamaican coming home for an extended stay? Are you a businessman, here for work, and need an elegant graceful place where you can entertain clients and friends? Or maybe you are coming here for a romantic getaway? Or...
maybe you are a tourist.. here for fun and frolic|.. I believe Promontory Ridge represents excellent value|.. Invest in memories that will last a lifetime|..|. AS DARKNESS FALLS UPON THE ISLAND .|. THE VIEW FROM LOOKOUT POINT As evening falls, all across this beautiful Island, a million fingers switch on a million lights and the city that now lies before us, exhausted and empty, quite drained by the heat and toil of the turbulent day. That city turns gradually into an enchanted sea of lights| You then turn your eyes unto the distant hills and the tiny hamlets that mark their faces. Some few houses that seem to cling together for comfort against the gathering dark. Each with its own little light, flickering bravely, and hopefully, in the looming night|.. Enjoy our patios, our balconies, the vast views of city, sea, and hills, see the horizon at night, as Kingston turns to its thoughts towards rest| Then, enjoy our lovely gardens, the generous kitchen, the huge bedrooms, and the constant sound of water from our many fountains. Plus all the birds and flowers you could want. In this space, so fit for prayers and promises| Guest Access: Promontory Ridge is a big place..| This is a tall building, built on a high ridge with three apartments. This is the top unit and you have access to the entire top unit which includes ann the balconies, patios, located on the said floor along with the kitchen, laundry, and a series of gardens and walks that descend about 150 feet to the valley floor. For the fitness, walker|..|you do not need to leave the property to get some wonderful cardio exercise. Interaction with Guests: I am typically willing to offer the best advice I can to any asker who needs my help. All they will have to do is message me and I will respond the best way I can| And certainly, I will stand by my Listing and resolve any difficulties experienced by guests that derive from there. The Neighborhood: It is an upper-middle-class neighborhood with many substantial homes and buildings. The crime rate is low and the weather is delightful| It is much liked for its scenic views, its cool climate, and its convenient location. Getting Around: We are about a 10-minute walk from Stony Hill, which has good shopping and transportation links. And then Manor Park, a major Kingston residential and commercial area is a few minute's drive away| Other Things to Note: We intend to develop this property as a venue for various family occasions, such as weddings, reunions, cocktail parties, Bar Mitzvahs, etc. We believe that with its generous gardens, and the evident beauty all around you, this would be an excellent location for a family celebration. We are willing to assist you in organizing such a function| Just ask us about it. Please note that this listing does not come with any form of a meal plan and also that the host is not required to supply groceries to the guest. We have been attempting to encourage the population of butterflies and especially birds that nest in the surrounding trees| They frequent the Ridge in great numbers. Please don't harm or frighten them! In the unlikely event of a power outage, all rooms are supplied with battery-powered light fixtures. There is also a backup burner gas stove to cook on.
We have provided a reasonable number of sheets and towels etc. However, it is very likely that they will need to be laundered from time to time, especially for longer stays. The responsibility to do this is upon the guest.
However, if you wish to pay for an extra cleaning, the laundry of the sheets and towels will be done. Normally, between the hours of 9.00 am to 5 pm, there is no charge for checking in or out.
as our apartment keys are located at an office that closes at 5.00 pm sharp and for later arrivals, we have a smart-lock which facilitates self-check-in. Commencing November 2017, we will be providing our guests with a local handset.
including a small startup credit. This is for them to use in the event of emergencies and as a local convenience. These phones are provided FOC, and as a gesture of goodwill and concern for our guests| Please note carefully however that should the phone be lost or damaged while it is in the guest's possession, there will be a charge of US$100.00. The initial cleaning that we provide our guests is charged for as part of the original booking.
New cleanings are very easy to arrange! All you have to do is ask for a fresh cleaning and one will be provided at the same cost as the first. Electricity is a huge expense in this big old house. We have routinely received bills exceeding US$1000|00 a month. We are "begging" our guests to have some pity on us!! It is especially galling to see all the air conditioners on full blast, and the guests are not even present in the property. Please be informed that, in such a case, we will turn off the A/C s ourselves| House Rules: • No smoking • No pets • Check-in is 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
