The "Da Silva Surfcamp" is a typical Portuguese country house in the middle of nature without any traffic in the immediate vicinity. There are various beautiful paths through the countryside to the beach, where you can walk in about 20 minutes.

With the beach cruiser, which you can rent for free, you don't need 10 minutes and by car you can reach the beach in 3 minutes. Although one is so close to the Atlantic Ocean, one has the feeling to be somewhere in the country far away from the hustle and bustle of beach life. Our surf camp is an open house, i|e. there is always a lot going on here. Our guests often go shopping together and then cook together in our surf camp kitchen.

Of course our barbecue place is also available. In Praia da Areia Branca there are also some cheap restaurants and on request we can take you to dinner in other nice places in the area. There are also often spontaneous barbecue parties or campfire sessions.

Since we are Portuguese ourselves, some of our friends come along and sit down at the campfire. Then it's not uncommon for someone to suddenly take out a guitar and the evening goes much longer than planned. But there are also some very nice party destinations in the area, to which we gladly take you in our shuttle bus.

After all, you should not only learn to surf, but also get to know some of the nice Portuguese nightlife. Surroundings: Praia da Areia Branca, 65 km north of Lisbon, is a typical Portuguese seaside resort with little foreign tourism. The dreamlike long sandy beach with its many surf spots offers a lot of waves for every surfer.

Lonely beaches without other surfers can be found after a short walk in the adjoining bays. Praia da Areia Branca is located only 15 km south of the port city Peniche, whose beaches are the best surfing area in Europe. The waves of the legendary surf spots Supertubos or Lagido are ridden by surfers from all over the world.

Our shuttle bus will take you to the best waves and most beautiful beaches in the area. Some of the nearby bays are so-called Secret Spots, the location of which is reluctantly revealed by the locals (local surfers). In Praia da Areia Branca there is a beautiful beach promenade with many small cafés and good restaurants.

The place is especially suitable for families with young children, as there is a very nice and manageable nightlife and the contact to the locals is very easy. The express bus between Peniche and Lisbon stops hourly in this place. Arrival: The nearest airport is in Lisbon, about 65 km north of our surf camp.

How to arrive:

Es ist dringend zu empfehlen, vor der Anreise bei uns anzurufen und mit uns zu besprechen, wo und wann wir uns in Praia da Areia Branca treffen. Da wir vor allem am Wochenende auch selber mal ganz gern surfen gehen, kann es sein, dass man sonst lange auf uns warten muss. Der Treffpunkt in Praia da Areia Branca ist die RIPAR-Surfbase direkt am Strand gleich neben der Jugendherberge. Wenn Ihr mit dem Expressbus kommt, holen wir Euch aber auch gern direkt von der Bushaltestelle ab. Bitte gebt uns vorher Bescheid, was Euch lieber ist. Anreise mit dem Expressbus: Am Flughafen nimmt man den "Aerobus - Linie 3 (Financial Center)" zum Busbahnhof "Sete Rios". Der Aerobus kostet 3,00 EUR pro Person. Der Aerobus hält direkt im Busbahnhof, wo man sich dann am Schalter ein Ticket nach Praia da Areia Branca kaufen muss, bevor man in den Expressbus einsteigt. Die Fahrt mit dem Expressbus von Lisboa nach Praia de Areia Branca kostet 8,50 EUR pro Person. Das Ticket für den Aerobus gilt übrigens den ganzen Tag für alle drei Linien, d.h. wenn man schon früh morgens anreist, kann man praktisch kostenlos einen Abstecher in die Stadtmitte machen, bevor man am Nachmittag nach Praia da Areia Branca weiter fährt. Achtung: Die Endstation ist Peniche. Praia da Areia Branca ist die vorletzte Haltestelle und kein Busbahnhof, sondern nur eine kleine unauffällige Bushaltestelle mitten im Ort Praia da Areia Branca. Die Adresse vom Busbahnhof Rede Expressos: "Terminal Rodoviário de Lisboa" Rua Professor Lima Bastos Stadtteil Sete Rios in der Nähe des Jardim Zoológico (Zoo) Metrostation Jardim Zoológico (linha azul) Bahnstation Sete Rios CP Man kann auch mit dem Taxi zum Busbahnhof fahren, muss aber unheimlich aufpassen, dass man nicht beschummelt wird. Die Fahrt sollte nicht mehr als 10 EUR kosten. Ein Tipp: Nicht die Taxis nehmen, die bei den Arrivals warten, sondern zu den Departures gehen und dort ein Taxi nehmen, das gerade zufällig jemanden zum Flughafen gebracht hat.
