Ayia Thekla Beach

Ayia Thekla is now also known for being the home of probably the largest water park in Europe, Waterworld, which is just a mile east of the village. With a clearly defined Greek Mythology theme running through all its slides and pools, Waterworld is hugely popular with both locals and tourists during the summer season.  Ayia Thekla boasts a small number of bars and restaurants, the best ones around being, the Axartis restaurant, opposite the water park and Zafiri bar.  This bar is located on one of the more scenic places to grab that relaxing pint and a bite to eat.  It is just a short walk from the beautiful Ayia Thekla Church and the path outside the pub leads to the beach.

During the summer there is a terrace where you can enjoy your favorite tipple al fresco, the same area is covered in the winter and heated by gas burners.
