It's where the city's wealthiest residents come to shop. Nearby is one of the area's more famous shopping streets, Voukourestiou, popular with jewelry makers. You'll find several prominent museums and galleries in Kolonaki, including two of the finest private museums in Greece, the Benaki and the Goulandris Museum of Cycladic Art.

There is also the Byzantine Museum and War Museum of Athens. The nightlife alone could keep you busy each night with its plethora of bars, restaurants, and tavernas. Charming outdoor seating along pedestrian-only streets dot the neighborhood.
