The street is literally packed with restaurants and take-outs of all kinds: pizza, groceries, dumplings, liquor store, Subway, Papa chicken, and more. There are churches and a mosque within walking distance.

Everything for the traveler could be reached within walking distance. A 10-min walk will take you to Kissena Park and if you have about 20 min you can walk to Flushing Meadows Park. Downtown Flushing is a major retail area, running the gamut from Old Navy to Chinese herbalists.

It is also a home to the second largest Chinatown in New York City. The shops are all practically next to one another on Main Street. For the most action, wander north and south on Main from the shopping epicenter at Roosevelt.

Quiet neighborhood, plenty of street parking. Everything is within walking distance. Just 10 minute walk to Kissena Park and 20 minute walk to Flushing Meadows Park.

Plenty of restaurants and take outs nearby. Mosque and churches within walking distance. Getting Around: This amazing home is located a quick ride on the Q65, away from the Main St/Roosevelt Av station where you can take the 7 train and transfer to get anywhere in New York City.

The 7 subway serves downtown Flushing. The LIRR train on the Port Washington line also stops on Main. Buses connect Flushing to the rest of Queens and also north to the Bronx: 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 25, 28, 34, 44, 65 and 66| In order to get to La Guardia by public transport get on the 7 subway from Main St to 74 St - Broadway to switch to the Q70 bus - this will take you less than 30min. For JFK get on the Port Washington Train, switch to the Babylon line to get off at Jamaica. From there get on the Jamaica AirTrain.

All this should take you about 40min or a little more. It is fairly easy to drive to Flushing, but traffic and parking downtown can trigger migraines. Northern Boulevard and Main Street are the two most prominent thoroughfares.
